When you’re a parent, there is a lot to think about when it comes to your child’s health. Here are some of the questions we often get asked:
- When should my child start having eye tests? Children should be having yearly eye tests by the age of 3.
Although young children often don’t complain about their sight, there can be behavioural signs that indicate vision problems – our optometrist is able to discuss these with you and let you know what to watch out for. - How much will it cost for my child to have an eye test?
Children aged 16 and under, or aged 16-18 in full time education, are entitled to FREE eye tests on the NHS.
